The PSL 11 is about to begin, and cricket fans are eagerly waiting to watch the action. Supporters want to know which stadiums will host the matches so they can secure tickets in advance and enjoy the games live from the stands.

For PSL Season 11, the PCB has announced the PSL 2026 Schedule has selected five venues to host matches. One additional stadium has been added this year, and alongside that, two new teams have also joined the league. With the expansion, Faisalabad Cricket Stadium has now been included as one of the venues. The season will commence on March 26, and the opening match, along with the opening ceremony, will be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, which serves as Islamabad United’s home ground, has had its seating capacity increased from 15,000 to 17,000 and has been renovated for major events. This is why we will also see the PSL 2026 opening ceremony hosted in Rawalpindi. As for the pitch, conditions vary, and at times fast bowlers get assistance in the form of decent bounce and a bit of movement. However, once the surface settles, it tends to favor spin, and overall, it can be considered a batting-friendly pitch where batsmen generally have the upper hand.

If we talk about the dew factor, most PSL matches are played at night, and dew in Islamabad is common. This makes it difficult for the team bowling second to grip the ball properly, reduces movement off the surface, and makes batting significantly easier. Dew also increases as the game progresses, so teams winning the toss often prefer to bowl first, since defending becomes much harder in the second innings and chasing targets becomes more manageable.

National Stadium Karachi

However, when it comes to the crowd, Karachi often does not attract the same numbers as other venues, and in many PSL matches the stadium has appeared partially empty.

Because of this, many spectators prefer watching the game on TV at home instead of visiting the stadium. National Stadium Karachi clearly needs renovation and upgrades so fans can return and enjoy live matches comfortably.

The seating capacity at the moment is around 18,000, but it may be increased for PSL 11.

However, based on past matches played here, the surface has tended to favor batting. It is generally considered a batting-friendly pitch where medium scores of around 170 are seen as competitive, and high-scoring matches including totals above 200 have been recorded in previous years.
